FAQ: Do you provide kayaks or canoes?

Although Hideaway does not offer kayaks, the Hocking River Yacht Club will have kayaks for rent and will be available for use by registered Hideaway guests.  This experience is dependent upon the weather and river conditions.  Typically opens mid to late May and goes through September.

If you have your own kayaks or canoes, you are welcome to use Hideaway’s launch and landing sites on the property.  This trip is about 2 miles long and takes 45 minutes if you go straight through, but you are welcome to explore along the way and take a more leisurely trip.  The landing site is within walking distance to all of Hideaway’s rentals.  Other public launch and landing sites are also available for longer trips down the Hocking.
